Updating the grad transfer market

It was a pretty quiet weekend in terms of new names for the potential and committed graduate transfer lists. All of the attention seems to be focused on Calvin Anderson, the Rice offensive lineman who is being courted by  blue chippers such as Texas, Michigan, and Auburn. There's plenty of other visits happening too, as teams look to make grad transfers part of their recruiting classes.

In terms of new entries, look no further than Austin Jones making his grad transfer to Alabama official. Jones, a kicker, visited the Tide over the weekend. He'll be a walk on, but is expected to compete for the starting job. Jones started for two years at Temple for a knee injury derailed his college football career.

Meanwhile, Clemson defensive lineman Jabril Robinson has announced his intention to explore the grad transfer market. Robinson played in 11 games for the Tigers in 2017, seeing about 20 snaps per game. He graduated in December. With stiff competition in front of him on the depth chart, it's likely Robinson is looking for more time on the football field somewhere else.
