Latest football grad transfer commits

A couple of updates to the committed graduate transfer list for college football.

Dennis Edwards, an offensive lineman, is taking his grad transfer from Western Kentucky to Purdue.

Edwards' former teammate, Jake Collins, a punter, will also take a graduate transfer from Western Kentucky. He's heading to Northwestern.

Pat Nelson, a defensive back, is taking a grad transfer from Illinois to SMU.

Also, linebacker Jared Drake is on the Other Grad Transfers list - he's taking a graduate transfer from Ohio State to FCS Western Illinois.

Additionally, Darrin Kirkland, a linebacker, has announced his intention to leave Tennessee as a grad transfer.

Plenty of football transfer activity

As the semester draws to a close and post-spring depth charts come out, we're seeing a spike in college football grad transfers.

Nick Harvey is now on the committed graduate transfer list. He's a defensive back and is leaving Texas A&M for South Carolina.

New to the Other Grad Transfers list is Matt Shiel, a punter who is taking a grad transfer to Mercer. He's a particularly interesting graduate transfer because he started his career at Mercer, transferred home to Australia, and is coming back for grad school where he started. This counts as a grad transfer because his eligibility clock started during his first stint on campus.

Three other players announced their intent to take grad transfers today:

Jalen Williams, Linebacker, Pittsburgh

Dennis Edwards, Offensive Lineman, Western Kentucky

Andrew Mike, Offensive Lineman, Florida
