Getting caught up on college football news

Quite a few grad transfers to note in college football this week.

Georgia Tech added two FCS graduate transfers this week. Malik Rivera, a defensive back, will grad transfer in from Wofford. Zach Roberts, a long snapper, is taking his grad transfer from Lamar. We always love seeing FCS guys getting a chance at a big time school thanks to the graduate transfer rule!

Will Gragg, a tight end, will grad transfer from Arkansas to Pitt. He has two years of college football remaining.

Andrew Mike, an offensive lineman, will take graduate transfer from Florida to Rice.

Nick Watkins, a defensive back, is heading to Houston, having taken his grad transfer from Notre Dame.

Brinkley Jolly, an offensive lineman, is taking his graduate transfer from Wyoming to SMU.

The latest college football grad transfers

A busy couple of days for college football. Here are the latest updates:

Jabril Robinson, a defensive lineman, is taking a graduate transfer from Clemson to West Virginia.

Ashton White, a defensive back, will be a grad transfer from Notre Dame to Buffalo.

Cole Blake, a running back, is leaving Robert Morris and using his grad transfer to walk-on at Pitt.

Jake Hall, a defensive lineman, will be a graduate transfer to SMU, having spent most of his career at Arkansas.

And Denzil Ware, a linebacker, is heading to Jacksonville State after leaving Kentucky as a grad transfer. This one is a bit of a surprise - an SEC starter heading to the FCS has raised a few eyebrows.

Plenty of football transfer activity

As the semester draws to a close and post-spring depth charts come out, we're seeing a spike in college football grad transfers.

Nick Harvey is now on the committed graduate transfer list. He's a defensive back and is leaving Texas A&M for South Carolina.

New to the Other Grad Transfers list is Matt Shiel, a punter who is taking a grad transfer to Mercer. He's a particularly interesting graduate transfer because he started his career at Mercer, transferred home to Australia, and is coming back for grad school where he started. This counts as a grad transfer because his eligibility clock started during his first stint on campus.

Three other players announced their intent to take grad transfers today:

Jalen Williams, Linebacker, Pittsburgh

Dennis Edwards, Offensive Lineman, Western Kentucky

Andrew Mike, Offensive Lineman, Florida

Pitt gets grad transfer offensive lineman

Stefano Millin, formerly of Kent State, will play college football for Pittsburgh next season. Millin is a versatile offensive lineman, with career starts at both tackle spots and center within the past two seasons. He's also a long snapper.

Millin has one year of eligibility left. He was originally slated to take his graduate transfer to Cincinnati, but obviously had a change of heart along the way.

This is the second grad transfer Kent State has lost this winter, with kicker Shane Hynes heading to South Carolina.
