Garrald McDowell, a three year reserve for Ole Miss, will play college football for UL-Lafayette in 2018. This graduate transfer went under the radar - his transfer went unreported until he arrived on campus. It seems likely he'll compete for playing time on the defensive this fall. He'll have a year of eligibility left.
Meanwhile, Khalil Oliver, a defensive back from Oregon, visited Missouri for a potential grad transfer over the weekend. He was the starter for the Ducks' first game of the year, but was soon injured. Oliver graduated in December and will have at least one year of eligibility left - he hopes to get a second year back because of the 2017 injury.
Finally, Dylan Thompson, a reserve defensive lineman, is taking a graduate transfer from Ohio State. Thompson's career has been marred by injury and academic issues, and he was able to play his first game for the Buckeyes until 2017. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
