Arizona State picks up another grad transfer lineman

Roy Hemsley, an reserve offensive lineman from Southern California, is taking his graduate transfer to Arizona State. Hemsley was an important rotation player for the Trojans last season, appearing in all 14 games at multiple positions. He has two years of college football remaining, having graduated in three years.

This is Arizona State's second offensive line grad transfer from within the Pac 12 this off season, after Casey Tucker committed from Stanford earlier in the cycle.

A busy day for offensive linemen

Three committed grad transfers today, all three from the trenches.

Casey Tucker, an offensive lineman from Stanford, will play his college football at Arizona State next season. He's an Arizona native who redshirted last season after appearing in 27 games over three seasons for the Cardinal. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

Junior Diaz, a lineman formerly of Tulane, is taking his graduate transfer to Florida Atlantic. Diaz was a starter at Tulane for three seasons, but is returning to his region in Florida for his redshirt senior year. Diaz is expected to step in to a starting role on the Owls' line.

And finally, Joe Brown is taking a grad transfer from BYU to West Virginia. He's eligible for at least one season, and the coaching staff indicates they'll try to get him a second year of eligibility. He's being joined by his younger brother, who is also an offensive lineman.

Memphis gets a grad transfer QB

Brady White, a two year backup at Arizona State, is taking a grad transfer at Memphis. White was a highly touted recruit for the Sun Devils, but got hurt early in his redshirt freshman year and lost his chance at a starting job. He's only finishing up his third year, so he'll have two years of college football at Memphis. This move makes sense - Memphis coach Mike Norvell was the Offensive Coordinator at Arizona State during White's freshman year.

Ellis Jefferson Leaving Arizona State

Arizona State reserve Wide Receiver Ellis Jefferson is taking his degree. Jefferson was a part of Todd Graham's first recruiting class in 2013. He only has 25 career catches and is leaving a wide receivers room that is apparently pretty full. Stay with The Grad Transfer Tracker to see where Jefferson ends up for his senior year.
