Kendall Johnson Jr., a two year starter at Nevada, may be taking a grad transfer back to his hometown team, UL-Lafayette. Johnson played his first three years at Nevada, but left the team before the start of his senior year. Technically, that makes him a redshirt, and gives him one year left to play college football.
While UL-Lafayette is yet to confirm the move, it makes sense for both sides. Johnson is a Lafayette native and the Ragin' Cajuns is losing three seniors from its secondary. We'll let you know if anything changes here.
